It is an instant archetype that volition help keep y'all and your kiddos warm on the ski or sledding slopes this wintertime, and who doesn't love the await of pom-poms and string ties?!

La Vie en Rose Ski Hat, an easy free crochet pattern in 6 sizes for baby to adult!

This chapeau uses basic stitches such as the single crochet, double crochet (for the shell stitch) and one-half double crochet, The ridge around the middle of the hat is created by working in the 3rd loop of a half-double stitch. This "3rd loop" is located at the back of the sew together and pushes the top of the sew forward to create the texture. The ties are made with the single crochet sew together, but if you want a different way of ties on your hat please feel gratuitous to modify the chapeau to fit your needs.

Crochet from the heart for charity

A fun footling back-story on this pattern earlier we outset:
I originally crocheted this ski hat to donate to a local women's/children's shelter, just and so the post I shared in a Facebook crocheting group blew up with requests for the pattern!  I hurriedly wrote down the size I'd been working on, and got that up the same day, then updated with several other sizes throughout the next week. The crochet pattern is now offered in sizes from 3 months to adult. If yous bask charity crochet, delight consider making this chapeau to donate to shelters that help women and kids. <3
